All students at Firth Park Community Arts College must wear compulsory college dress each day:

  • Navy blue sweatshirts, with or without the college logo/Arts logo. (No other logo is permitted)
  • Pale blue tee shirts/polo shirts, with or without the college logo. (No other logo is permitted)
  • Plain black trousers, jeans, skirts or track suit bottoms. (No stripes, patterns logos or other colours)
  • Sensible footwear

All pupils are expected to do PE lessons and to change into extra kit (see below) and to bring a towel for showering purposes and hygiene. Footwear must also be changed for PE lessons.

Ethnic minority students are permitted to wear their cultural dress but should comply with the college colours of navy blue, pale blue and black.

Compulsory college dress items can be purchased in the college student support office by parents/students.

Small earrings/studs are acceptable in FPCAC, however body piercing in noses, tongues, eyebrows, navels etc. are banned for Health and Safety reasons, as are large looped or dangling earrings also neck chains,necklaces and bracelets for the same reasons.

PE Kit

PE KitAll pupils in Years 7 - 10 MUST wear the compulsory school PE kit for every PE lessons.

The expected correct PE kit as detailed below:

Navy blue polo shirt must either have the college logo (ordered through the college)on the chest or be plain. The plain navy blue shirt can be purchased from British Home Stores, George (Asda), Marks & Spencer, Primark, H&M. Please do not buy polo shirts with Donnay, Adidas, Nike, Diadora logos etc from Sports World/JJB Sports or other sports shops.

Plain black shorts above the knee without a logo. (no 3 quarter length trousers).

The PE kit is on display in the main reception area.

Outdoor PE Lessons

Students will be allowed to wear tracksuit bottoms and a sports sweatshirt or rain jacket at the discretion of the PE Teacher
No items of college dress must be worn for lessons. Students MUST change into a full PE Kit
A C3 (1 hour) college detention will be given if a student attends a PE lesson without PE kit, whether they are excused or not.

Health & Safety: Jewellery In PE

Students are not permitted to wear any jewellery at all during PE lessons and therefore must remove them before every PE lesson. This is a Sheffield LEA Policy and is also standard across all schools in England.
